A.I. will not save you

Many people seem to be waiting for the appearance of a god in a box. Call it the singularity or AGI, where computer intelligence gets so good that there is nothing it can’t figure out. And they expect some kind of utopia to be born with it. The AI will bring with it a post-scarcity economy that will bestow an unimaginable bounty, eliminating hunger, want and greed. I imagine that pastries will rain from the sky at the price of opening our mouths.
