Humanity’s new stage: our mind understanding itself

(This website is dedicated to this new stage in human history, when the human mind is finally coming to understand itself.)

At present, human cognition is reaching a new stage. It is not one of improving the hardware of our brain. Instead, it is an epochal change in the information within our minds.

For hundreds of thousands of years, humans have built up mental representations of reality.

and thereby learning to interact with it better.

Think of when scientists discovered how our bodies worked, and how to medically engage with it better.

Now scientists are discovering how our or minds work, and so we’re learning to engage with them better. 

For our entire lifetime on earth, humans have been trapped behind a wall of ignorance, and the harm this unknowing caused. It was our destiny that we would forever leave the dark forest of unknowing,            

Since our species’ began, we have had a date with what lay within our potential to understand. Humans had a date with their future destiny. (Monkey-spaceman picture). Some day we would understand how our own bodies worked. Some day we would learn what the universe was made up of. Some day we would learn to fly, and soar upward into interplanetary space. And on some day, soon, it is the destiny for humans to understand their own minds.

We are now seeing the dawning of that day. This is heralded by the morning star of cognitive science, the science of intelligence.
